Description of what the gravestone doji is from Investopedia.
Chart is S&P 500, daily candles, since February 2023.
I'm not real big into technical analysis, but I don't think it's worthless.
Treasury issuing a lot of debt each week, since debt ceiling raise. Today they notified of $301B of issuance of which $128B is 1 year or longer duration. I haven't looked at how much is maturing next week. They've been leaning on short term bills, I assume to pull $ out of RRP (liquidity neutral).
07.07.2023 04:05 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Facebook has an infinity of servers that can take the tiny incremental load that a few million new users of a mostly text app, when they are used to serving lots of pics and videos. Bluesky is not gonna be able to do that. But I think you are right, they are missing a big window the last few months.

Have you all heard about Guyana offshore oil?
I don't know, but didn't seem to make much of a difference to their PlayStation MAU?

04.07.2023 16:39 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0For me, VR/AR headsets are likely laptop killers, once the tech is good enough. Apple Vision Pro might be there. The last missing piece is some kind of gloves allowing typing w/ speed + accuracy of a keyboard. Then I'd probably ditch my desktop and laptop and exclusively use phone+headset+gloves.
04.07.2023 13:52 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0This is a UX problem & the better solutions the more people will use mobile. I don't game on mobile, but it appears the industry has found very good solutions. Is the only thing keeping me from primarily using Office on the mobile phone just having better controls? https://youtu.be/JqId6RPEeo8?t=53
04.07.2023 13:40 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0The barrier to entry is a lot lower because everyone already has a phone, while consoles are expensive, single purpose, and even hard to get. The question in my mind is will mobile gaming eventually kill off console gaming or serve as a gateway? And what are these stats for Microsoft Excel ;)
04.07.2023 13:33 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0The release of the mobile game didn't hurt console MAU. Console is clearly the superior UX, gamers love better screens, better controls, better graphics, less limitations. It just added a bunch of new players who could play while riding in a bus or car or in their free time at a boring event. 3/
04.07.2023 13:25 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0Call of Duty has been an insanely popular franchise for a long time. The mobile version was first release in October 2019, and you can see the huge jump in MAU. 2/
04.07.2023 13:23 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0I don't generally pay too much attention to gaming, but I thought this was really interesting. More than half of Call of Duty users play on cell phones. This is a first person shooter. However, it doesn't appear to be cannibalizing consoles much (yet). 1/
