Starting to compose the scene of my wrecked Tiger. Final figure positions not entirely certain yet, but this is close I think. Then a lot of tidying up, adding small details I'd forgotten and adding veneer to the sides. #histscalemodels

Having said that, if I'm taking a slow pootle down to the shops or whatever I'll forgo the lid (and the lycra 😉). But when I'm out going fast it'll be on . And always when I'm on my mountain bike.

In a lifetime of riding and three decades of racing I only needed my helmet once - some kids dug a jump on a local trail and, not knowing it was there I hit it at high speed, headfirst into a tree. Helmet split in half, handlebar bent, concussion and neck in a brace.

You're very kind. But that would involve buying kits, and I'm currently trying to be good and reduce my stash. Maybe in the future.

Landing at Benghazi in the 80s, copilot let the airspeed get too low on final approach, captain didn't react quick enough before opening all 4 up to takeoff power. My heart was in my mouth, expecting the worst. We hit the ground bloody hard, bounced before getting airborne again. Got away with it.

It's a white pigment, made by either AK or MIG (can't remember which and I'm too lazy to go upstairs and check 😉), part of a burnt vehicle set I found going cheap in a local model shop that was closing down. It blends nicely with the black pigment to get that range of monochrome tones and textures.
