Air dry modelling clay folded like fabric
Experimenting with GreenStuffWorld modelling clay for the tarp. Rolled out as thin as I can get it, then ruched up into folds. Waiting to see what happens when it drys.

French horn! I can’t believe this actually printed. I reckon it’s about 10% too large for total realism, but I’m not going to lose sleep over that.

Still a little way to go, here are some shots of my Petite Curie X-ray truck with the bodywork conversion largely complete. Part 2 of the build video getting to this point should be up on YouTube tomorrow.

Latest progress on the ‘Petite Curie’ x-ray truck. Main bodywork is now pretty much together. A few more bits to design and 3D print like the main headlights, and of course the decals in 2D.

Windscreen glazed. Just some bits of acetate sheet cut to fit and glued inside the 3D printed frame.

Today’s developments include painting the windscreen frame and the cab ceiling, plus quite a bit of editing of the upcoming build video.

Latest windscreen print. Small amount of lift on the base, but with very little effect on the overall shape. Also the central bar is a bit thin in one place where the support didn’t fix properly, but that too is mendable. Very happy with that.

CAD version with dynamo
In another of my reference photos I've spotted a gizmo on the running board. I'm thinking this might be the dynamo used to run the x-ray equipment, straight off the engine when stationary. Tried my best at recreating something similar in Tinkercad for my conversion.

Minor of a print failure on the mudguard of my latest running board design. Not wasted, as I can still check for fit, and I've added a small support to the CAD for the next print.

I need a bit of help with my next bit. I'm thinking the top section is open at the top, with that tarp pulled over it - presumably for storing equipment etc. Anyone got any ideas what's going on with the cab ceiling? Almost looks like the bottom of a tank of some sort.
