A variant cover for Zander Cannon's Image comic SLEEP #7, in which a colorful speedster superhero -- Doc Rocket, from Youngblood -- zooms into the horror mystery series'grayscale-with-red-highlights town. Does it make any sense? No! Is it fun anyway? Yes!
I'm one of the pretty-unrelated series that will have a Youngblood variant cover in November!!

The covers of Sleep #4 and 5. Is alt text for the sight-impaired? Then you can’t really get into a comic book, so no point describing the covers, sorry!
It’s Sleep #4 and 5 by @zandercannon.bsky.social ! Still more questions than answers. I have got less than bupkus for Why Is Some Stuff Red? But I sure as shit noticed that sunlight through a church window is monochrome white, but artificial light at the lab is a lovely blue*. This cements my

This is a “quiet” horror series that needs to be on more people’s pull lists.

They try an experiment in the town's mine to weaken it. The cover letters spell ACIEL - which was a human turned demon and hates religion. Recommend.

I remember reading this when it came out and a) immediately recognizing Adams (he was my first must-buy comic artist too) and b) aping the style of that blue alien's teeth in my next 200 drawings.

The A-cover for Image Comics' SLEEP, depicting a grayscale senior photo of a girl, with images of broken glass, wrecked books, and a trophy of some kind strewn about. The artist, Zander Cannon, peeks from behind the comic to make sure the photo looks right on his phone.
The B-cover of Image Comics' SLEEP #5, drawn by legendary comic artist Brian Hurtt, depicting the protagonist screaming in agony and clenching his hand while a demonic hand makes the same gesture in the background. Blood seeps from his eyes, nose, and mouth. It's awesome. The interior artist, Zander Cannon, peeks from behind the comic book.
✨Tomorrow!!✨ Sleep #5 is on the stands! With a variant cover by legendary artist @brihurtt.bsky.social (Sixth Gun, The Damned) and a regular cover by me (completing a small puzzle started on the 1st issue)! Been thinking about Alan Moore, @geneha.com, @zandercannon.bsky.social, Alex Sinclair, and Todd Klein's TOP 10 a lot recently.
No particular reason.
Cartoonists can perform some grassroots action on that front, by delivering their comics two months late! (not recommended)

A promotional image from a very strange 70s animated special called "Romie-0 and Julie-8," in which Shakespeare's play is remade with robot lovers in an all-mechanical future.
I feel a twinge of nostalgic sadness for the demise of the Canadian animation studio Nelvana. Of course mostly for the well-known stuff, but there's a part of me that especially loved the all-robot "Romie-0 and Julie-8" (being 4 years old will do that).
