โ€˜Corruptโ€™ medical journals have to change, RFK Jr. says, or the NIH will publish in-house The criticism of The Lancet, NEJM and JAMA is not new, but the health secretary may use his position to influence research that journals publish.

Yeah right, they are all corrupt. What is his agenda? Ridiculous!

I could agree that they take too much $ for publications, hiding important papers behind pay walls, etc. but corrupt?

Basic research advances science, and can also have broader impacts on modern society Basic research that doesnโ€™t have a specific industrial or experimental application still adds value outside the lab by engaging people with exciting research.

Without basic science, translational, applied sciences wouldnt be possible. It is fundamental!!

The US military has cared about climate change since the dawn of the Cold War โ€“ for good reason During the Cold War, the US poured support into Arctic military outposts and climate research amid fears of a Russian invasion. Climate change is still on the militaryโ€™s radar as a threat multiplier.

Someone should tell the current administration.

"Over time, the U.S. military would come to see climate change as both a threat in itself and a threat multiplier for national security."

No, artificial sweeteners are not better than sugar (avoid both, but if you have to better use sugar). Another evidence (how many we need to get rid of them?):
