Basic research advances science, and can also have broader impacts on modern society
Basic research that doesnโt have a specific industrial or experimental application still adds value outside the lab by engaging people with exciting research.
Without basic science, translational, applied sciences wouldnt be possible. It is fundamental!!
No immunotherapy, no flying, no smart phones, no smart TV...and so on and so on...

Nice paper @idoyagalab.bsky.social, very interesting. Besides GM have you looked at the B16 cells itself as immunosuppressive on MoDC after recruitment of monocytes into the tumor and their maturation into Cd301b+ MoDCs?

Mice fed artificial sweetener exhibit alarming health issues
Aspartame, a common sweetener in diets, could affect vascular health, according to a new study that warns of a possible higher arterial risk.
No, artificial sweeteners are not better than sugar (avoid both, but if you have to better use sugar). Another evidence (how many we need to get rid of them?):

I see a lot of combo trials with ICIs, but most fail. We need to be smarter how to choose combos to select patients who are more likely to benefit.

Bye-bye X, enough is enough. I'm interested in science and, to say it nicely, not the things that are offered now. Looking forward to bluesky and hope to find it similar informative as old twitter was.
