I was 7 and reading the manual on the way home, in the back of the car, and exclaimed to my cousin, "oh my god, we chose a game that looks so hard!" Soo many weapons and items and enemies. It was gonna be awesome. I was right.

A lot of posts online on what to look for on the labels/stamps on the cartridge, but a lot of it can is conflicting. The most definitive way to check is to run it through a gameshark and it would tell you what version it is. You still have to consider if it's shell swapped cart.

You might want to get it checked. There are very few gray copies that are version 1.0. There are common gray ones v1.1 and v1.2 that are cheap, but if it's a gray v1.0, you could have something valuable there.
