In civilized advanced countries who value their kids and education for their kids, pre-K-12 and after school programs are baked into their societies.

I have so many friends who moved to Europe to have and raise kids because it makes sense there, but not in America.

A favorite storytime choice. Mr Watson and his partner Mr Nelson have too many chickens. Hilarity ensues as the chickens overrun their home and community.

Even in NY - I’ll never forget that young teen years ago who came to the library to read comics because she wasn’t allowed to read comics (or fiction at all) at home. #liblearnx

Hearing stories of censorship in Florida, Texas, South Carolina, and many other states at #liblearnx is a necessary kick in the butt on why we do what we do as advocates for readers (particularly young readers)
