I worked for “leaders” like this: disbelievers in laws, regulation, ethics and values. There are ways to handle them, even as a subordinate: all of which rely on the tenets of parenting. Patience. Deescalation. Distraction. They hyper focus: take advantage and map the terrain so they feel at peace.

100%. Scanty and misinformation shouldn’t be the compass points directing how we feel or act.

In the upcoming and now chaos, my mantra and yours IS FAR BETTER to be ‘do not react’ and navigate (stupidity, cruel and caustic “presidential” pronouncements or proceedings) scanty or misinformation with SLOW and #safestep thinking.

Call on and calm with #conflictfirstaid tenets. Demand them.

More than ever, we need the calm, confidence and comforts of Conflict First Aid.

What is it? 4 simple PROventive skills that fix any harm, cost and consequences ensuring fight/flight/freeze are a resource, not a response.

Safety rather than binary is possible, profitable: better for us all.

Us/them binaries are hate-inducing/awful/vile: “they are wrong” vs “the argument (policy/rule/position) is wrong” is a broadly mismanaged.

Settle in calm confidence: conflict competency to navigate THAT problem and differences. Being terrible (even on our own territory) is not something to rest on.

Who are the biggest asshats in conflict circles? Most CONFLICT experts. They relish power, fight each other. Where were they this decade of crushing stupidity, disputing systems, broken people, insane politics?

I’ll tell you: fighting and running from themselves.

Right now, I’m among the most lucky: about 100 people nearest me learned - we call it - Conflict First Aid. Like the swan’s or medical first aid, we know to help, fix and not interfere if personal, community, or even global or political fear (hurt, anger, even toxic thinking) affect us.

Genuine: is it possible A.I. will be - or is designed - as *the* saving grace?

📌 The fix for fear, anger isn’t science or prayer: the fix is a vaccine, not unlike injury or disease do …we *have* First Aid for that, but few have the ease and calm pro-mention of *Conflict* First Aid ⛑️
