RIP Brian Wilson. I’ve been a Beachboy’s fan since I was about four years old. Pet Sounds is one of my favourite albums of all time. An incredible writer and producer, his vocal harmonies were outstanding. The world is a better place for having his music in it.

Having watched them all again fairly recently, I would not have put Ghost Protocol as high as that and I would not have put III as low as that. We’re all agreed that II is the worst.

It’s patronising. It implies that working with autistic kids is some sort of hardship they endure with martyr-like selflessness. I think if someone is good at that kind of work and well liked by the autistic kids they work with, that’s a much better compliment to pay them—not for just doing it.

That’s honestly a horrible story and a great example of a cis person performatively doing “allyship” in the worst possible way. She may have meant well but I fundamentally think what she said was rude.

When my gf is away I let our cat roam the house freely at night including access to our bedroom. Every night is a dice roll.
