From personal experience with this, often taking even more time off can make things worse. The longer I was away, the more I dreaded going back, which definitely exacerbated the issue

Finished Bananza last night, and this game is a love letter to Rare’s Donkey Kong games. I’m genuinely so chuffed with that. Spent years hoping for a third DKC game from Retro but I think Bananza has filled that hole. Adored it

Wasn’t prepared for how much Bananza would hit me nostalgia wise. DKC is one of the first games I ever remember seeing or playing, and I’m shocked how clear it is that the team loves it too. I really thought this might be a reboot, a chance to wipe DKC away, but not at all. Great stuff

This is the answer. That HDR screen with the suns in the Switch 2 settings just doesn’t work without HGIG turned on for your TV. Once someone told me that, much easier to calibrate

DK has that pure Nintendo magic, no one does it like them when they're firing on all cylinders

So easy to do, just a couple of clicks!
