.. would be willing to accept a $ contract to join the military for a 2 year obligation. Their entire job will be to attach to something like a Seal team and blow any incoming drones out of the sky. They would be walking shotgun slingers with several weapons and probably very effective.

I have a friend who I just discovered happens to be a top amateur skeet shooter. he doesn't hunt, but competes and wins knocking clay pigeons out of the sky.

In fact they should not joke about that. Watch Ukrainian combat footage. The drone is there before the soldier has time to react, and they almost all are retrofitted consumer level drones, not military.
