The reason why Sussex is a 'shipwreck coast' -- prevailing winds are usually from the south or southeast, and drove vessels towards the cliffs. Spending the windy evening looking at ship "wrecking" cases for two upcoming talks. #SussexCoast

I'm with HE on this one. Looks quite different from the henges at Nunwick and the one on Low Moor, and is a sensible place for a shifted village.

I like to think there was some learning from that and some moving on, but the question of what happens when monitoring shows a change of redox conditions was never satisfactorily answered outside of a few developments.

We stopped using that term in planning with the introduction of the NPPF. It is all preservation by foundation design these days. Makes some of the problems with the concept a bit more obvious...
