Starvation, Hunger and Famine in Armed Conflict: An overview of relevant provisions of international humanitarian law This briefing note outlines the rules of international humanitarian law (IHL) most relevant to food security, starvation, and the prevention of hunger and famine in situations of armed conflict. The killing of civilians seeking aid in Gaza is indefensible.

I spoke again with Gideon Sa'ar to recall our understanding on aid flow and made clear that IDF must stop killing people at distribution points.

All options remain on the table if Israel doesn’t deliver on its pledges.

It’s official – Bulgaria will join the euro as of 1 January 2026, becoming the 21st country to adopt our single currency.

🌄 He never married and often retreated to his home in Scy-Chazelles. He preferred quiet reflection in his garden or chapel over bustle of Parisian political life.

Old-fashioned clothes, shy demeanor, walking the corridors of power unnoticed. Even dismissed by Parisian elites.

🛑 Part of Paul Reynaud's wartime and first Petain's government, in September 1940 he was arrested for acts of resistance against Nazis.

A German lawyer saved him from being sent to Dachau.

He escaped home arrest, went to unoccupied zone of France and joined the Resistance.

🇱🇺🇫🇷 He was born in Luxembourg, but had Lorraine roots. He became a French citizen in 1919, after World War.

🏛️ Schuman served as Prime Minister of France twice and as Foreign Affairs Minister.
