There's a few layers on that bobbin, so I guess it's hard to see the thick and thin. But I know it's there! 🫣 It will even out in plying. We are our own biggest critics, a big struggle of mine is expecting mastery of a new skill overnight. 😅

Thank you! Yes, practice will make it better. It would be good to have another drafting option so that when my tendonitis flares up I can still spin. And it's good to learn new things, I want to spin woolen and semi-woolen/worsted yarns. I just wasn't having it last night. Will try again tonight!

Two bobbins used to spin the yarn singles on a Dreaming Robots lazy Kate. One is empty, but the other has a large amount of turquoise single ply leftover.

The Polwarth is a two ply! Seems like it may be a sport-ish weight. There's a LOT of blue left. The plies weren't THAT far off in thickness. I'll practice chain ply with the leftovers, then weigh everything. Maybe the green wasn't 4oz. #handspinning #handspun #latenightcrafting 🧶
