I like to read She/her I asked my kid to draw me a profile picture that would upset people that get angry about gay rainbows. A person is wearing a rainbow hat with little ears and eyes. It says LGBTQ+ rights are human rights. Pride flags in background

The attorney general and the FBI director, a manosphere podcaster bro, pulled into the situation room a member of Congress best known for getting kicked out of a Beetlejuice musical for drunkenly giving her date a handy, in order to pressure her about the president's child sex trafficking scandal.

Government using machine learning to help create draft plans for NDIS participants, documents reveal Exclusive: NDIA defines machine learning as a subset of AI that uses algorithms to learn from data and make decisions or predictions

I spent 8 months waiting for an FOI from the NDIA on how they're using AI.

This is what I found.

Machine learning is used in developing draft plans for participants.

Robodebt concerns loom large over the Copilot trial, but staff reported favourably on it.

Everyone is dunking on poor Noah Smith for getting lost and frustrated at Heathrow Airport and blaming him, which is victim-blaming and I am quite disappointed in all of you. Put the blame squarely where it belongs: on whoever failed to pin his name and destination to his sweater-vest.

It's official: 2015-2025 are the 11 warmest years on record . With the global temperature 1.42Β°C above pre-industrial levels, we are living through the consequences of inaction. Every fraction of a degree matters. #GlobalWarming #ClimateAction

A screenshot of a news article discussing a UK judge’s ruling that Islam-critical beliefs are protected under the Equality Act 2010. The article reports that Patrick Lee, a 61-year-old actuary, was previously found guilty of misconduct and banned from his professional body for posting critical comments about Islam on X (formerly Twitter). The tribunal later ruled that his belief that Islam is problematic and should be criticised is legally protected. The piece notes that this is the first time a court has confirmed protection for β€œIslam-critical” beliefs, and compares the case to the 2021 ruling that gender-critical beliefs held by Maya Forstater are also protected under the same law.

This is how transphobia's right wing fuckery blew open basic respect in the UK, there is absolutely no reason to expect now that being "women critical" is not also a protected belief, if you truly do not believe that women should just be reproductive slaves for cis men.

This will be used to abuse.

Police allowed a neo-Nazi rally targeting Jewish groups and people to be held outside NSW parliament on Saturday morning, two months after new laws banned the public incitement of racial hatred.
More than 60 members of the National Socialist Network attended the event outside parliament, which began at 10am and included a large banner that read β€œAbolish the Jewish Lobby”.

Premier Chris Minns has announced he will hold a press conference at 3.10pm, after the Herald witnessed the gathering outside parliament and sent questions to NSW Police, Police Minister Yasmin Catley and the premier.
Attendees wore dark uniforms with the NSN insignia stitched into the shoulders of their jackets. Some partially obscured their identities with hats or sunglasses. Many showed their faces, a sign of growing boldness by parts of organisation.
Two NSN leaders spoke, criticising not only Jewish groups but Jewish people in general. They used a number of antisemitic tropes about power and influence while speaking in favour of authority of β€œthe white man”. One speaker promoted a highly offensive and baseless claim about antisemitic attacks carried out this year, which this masthead has chosen not to repeat.
At the end of the speeches the group chanted, β€œblood and honour”, a Hitler Youth motto.

If only we had some form of envoy or such tasked with, say, combatting antisemitism, maybe they could let us know their thoughts on this
