Chicago priest Father Michael Pfleger: "The state of emergency is in AMERICA, not Chicago. It's birthed from this president and his admin's reign of terror."

I was a skeptic about the import of the Epstein files.

But 3 invasions of cities, one military buildup outside Venezuela, a government shutdown, and so many other things meant to distract have me convinced whatever’s in there is the biggest presidential scandal in U.S. history.

I remember when threatening a television network to replace their show or get sued by the President of the United States would have been an impeachable offense. (It was eight months ago.)

Here are the details of Trump's $1.2-billion call to remake UCLA in a conservative image The Times describes the details, for the first time, of the 28-page proposal the Trump administration has made to remake the UCLA campus.

Trump demands on the UC include banning gender affirming care, a public statement that trans people do not exist, having an outside monitor at the UC to look at DEI programs, and almost a billion in taxpayer dollars.

Gov. Greg Abbott pardons Daniel Perry, veteran who killed police brutality protester in 2020 A Travis County jury sentenced Perry to 25 years in prison last year, prompting Abbott to ask the state parole board to review his case.

I am just going to keep posting that the TX governor recently pardoned a political murderer.

The dude texted "I'm going to shoot protestors", then went and shot a Black Lives Matter protester. He was convicted in a jury trial.

Hard to find a more blatant example of celebrating political violence.

It truly cannot be restated enough that earlier this year Trump pardoned everyone involved with J6, the largest event of political violence in the US in my lifetime. They have absolutely no credibility here and deserve to be confronted with this fact whenever they're in public.

When I was placed on the Professor Watchlist in 2021, people sent death threats about my children. I had security officers monitor my 8yo at school.

Where is all the outrage for those of us who have been targeted for years? Where is the outrage for our families?

My own colleagues are silent.

Meta is building a data center in Wyoming that will use more electricity than all the homes in the state COMBINED.

This will cause electric bills to skyrocket.

Oh, and destroy the planet at the same time.

This is what happens when there is zero accountability for Big Tech.

When I worked at UT, the campus hosted Nazi speakers (twice, I think), and a professor called for cars to "run down" protestors.

He wasn't disciplined.

I think it’s fair to say there have been more overt attacks on and threats to freedom of expression in the US since January than in our entire history. And recently they are accelerating and getting more brazen.

Watching the right-wing trip over their own hypocrisy for the last week and try to survive the devastating cognitive dissonance is unlike anything I've ever seen. Just as bizarre is the belief that their pathetically transparent gaslighting is logically sound. I've never seen such clownery.

The man is dead, and so it only seems fair to share his legacy by cataloguing the values he spread while alive.
