The change means that in 2027, repayment threshold will be held instead of going up £900.
Affected Plan 2 Student loans (taken out under Tory Govts) will increase by *9% of £900*, ie £81 a year, each year for 3 yrs.

So stop talking about "£72,000 debt".
Thats due to the Tories! Blame them!

#C4News has been running an attack story about Student Loans (repeated by many on here) for some days.
But the #Fact is, its nothing to do with the high interest - that isn't changing.
The Budget froze repayment thresholds *from April 2027 for 3yrs*.
Nobody has paid a penny extra yet!

I suspect in this case Farage has put a super injunction in place to prvent anyone saying anything about his dealings with either Russia or Epstein (both, probably, are connected).
He has access to plenty of funding to do & maintain this.
All he needs is a judge to agree, & Epstein had them too...

03.02.2026 18:40 — 👍 4    🔁 3    💬 0    📌 1

The thing about super injunctions is that we have no way of knowing what they cover, or even that they exist, since its illegal for anyone to tell us (or even hint).
The only clue they are in place is a large inexplicable & widespread silence surrounding a subject that should normally be discussed.

UK lenders step up with £11 billion push to back British businesses UK banks agree £11 billion lending packages to support small business growth, particularly for small and mid-sized enterprises.

This is great.

Sensible lending is important to small businesses.

So it's welcome to see 5 major UK lenders agree to an £11bn lending package to help small business growth, following a government roundtable.

This help could see SMEs invest, hire more staff, expand into new international markets.

He is no longer a *Labour* peer, just an unaffiliated one - but he has been on "Leave of absence" from the Lords since being recalled as ambassador, so not able to attend or vote (& must give 3 months notice to rescind that absence).

Nigel Farage was mentioned 43 times in the Epstein files.

But you don’t see any of the ‘political’ journalists mention this do you?

Instead it’s the usual diatribes against Starmer.

These people are an embarrassment

Imagine if Keir Starmer’s name was in the Epstein files.

But no it’s Farage’s. So nothing to see here.

Fortunately, Russia has (probably much) fewer than 30 Tu-22M3 aircraft (which are the only ones that can launch these Kh-32s, & can only carry one each), & no way to maintain them in flying condition.

So there won't be many Kh32s launched at Ukraine hopefully.

Kh-32 doesn't carry much of a warhead

Also - Week ending 25 January, 4 asylum seeker boats arrived but 6 were prevented by the French under the agreement with Labour.

On 17th January, French police intercepted one of the small boats on the water for the first time, under a new agreement with Labour to prevent boats loading in the surf.

What's happened with small boat crossing in January? Now that January 2026 is over, we have the first full month of data from this year on small boat crossings in the English Channel.

What's happen to small boat crossing in January?

The data shows we've seen the lowest number of crossing for a January since 2021.

Plus, we've seen a lot of 'firsts' across the month where plans to tackle dangerous crossing announced last year have come into force, or been used for the first time.

* Now 85. But it was 110 last year.
* Now 150/90. But 180/120 last year.

The view I have, 2 years after surviving an unexpected, undiagnosed until Stage 4, & rare lymph node cancer, is "if you are going to live, then *live* - don't just "survive".

You can die tripping over a loose shoelace. At least have a coffee & a bacon sarnie before putting on your shoes!
