...And that's the problem with Primetime TV shows featuring populist politicians giving trite answers to serious problems without having to deal with the real world.πŸ™„

Meanwhile, Labour is getting on with governing the country, solving the massive problems left behind by the last bunch of populists

SHOCK POLL:
NIGEL FARAGE WILL BE PM TOMORROW
IN an amazing poll conducted
by The Pointless Polling Company, it was revealed that voters' intentions
may well change over the next three and a half years and at present it's 100 percent impossible to guess what the next government might look like.
However, 99 percent of journalists
agree that it would be much more fun if we had an election tomorrow and everybody resigned and everything was chaos and Farage had a go at being PM, just for the hell of it, because it was so much fun when
Brexit happened and then the government kept falling every five minutes and we could write endless pieces about (cont. p94)

Private Eye offers up an excellently scornful commentary on the relentless polling. It’s become ridiculous and has oversimplified our politics to dangerous levels of stupid and irresponsible.

Winter Fuel allowance only removed from the richest, this year - removing it more widely got 10s of thousands of pensioners to sign up for Pension Credit, so much better off.
Labour have no control over TW, will remove 2child limit when possible.
PA are terrorists.
We still have the right to protest

I've been sharing the link for over a year now, every few weeks. It gets a lot of attention, almost always by people who had no idea Labour had delivered anything as they'd heard nothing from UK Media, & a lot of abusive replies from what seem to be almost identical #troll accounts (instant block).

Under the last Tory Govt, elected in 2019, of 42 Manifesto Pledges, only
2 were delivered in 5 years.
Under the current Labour Govt, elected in 2024, of 83 Manifesto Pledges, 57 are delivered (18), on track (19), or in process (20).
In 1 year.

I was quite surprised, given the amount of negative press that would have you believe that this government is the worst we’ve had yet.

I’ll put the link in the next post but given we had a complete shit show with the Tories, this is astonishing. Do reshare or bookmark the link, it’s handy.

I haven't seen anything that suggests any different outcome.

Starmer’s had a really productive trip to India. 10,600 jobs secured. Including 200+ for Wales. And huge market opened up for Scotch Whisky. It’s so refreshing to have a PM who consistently delivers for his Country πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

No.
Because Labour has a humane position on all those.
And if you are pretending otherwise, you're just either a #troll, or very badly misinformed.

Yes, absolutely.
Some of the hardest work done by early humans was in the processing of cat-tail & cassava roots, grass seeds, heart of palm etc to produce edible carbohydrate free of toxins.
You can be sure they weren't obese!

Yes, we evolved to cling to fats & sugars as a rare & precious resource, you don't see obese apes in the jungle/savannah/woodland where they live! That shows how hard they are to find!

09.10.2025 12:30 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Its a balance, you're perfectly correct.
If the calories eaten balance the exercise done, weight stays stable.
Food is hard to find in the natural world. Animals forage all day to get enough. Humans were the same until we started farming & its only the last 200yrs that gave 10% of us an excess

Millions of households face jump in water bills after regulator backs more price rises Competition watchdog agrees requests from Anglian, Northumbrian, Southern, Wessex and South East to raise household bills

This is ridiculous. These companies are howling with laughter at regulator naivety, & cracking open the champagne.
My water bill rose from Β£250 (2024) to *Β£392* (2025), a 43% increase!
They said that was for investment.
Now they want 15% more!
We're being played.

Re: Weightloss jabs...

The skeleton doesn't grow inside an obese body.
Thats why joints & back (& heart, lungs etc) suffer so much from the extra work. Thats why there are so many health issues resulting from carrying excess weight around.

The jabs just effectively reduce calorie intake. Eat less.

National security threatened by climate crisis, UK intelligence chiefs due to warn Report by joint intelligence committee delayed, with concerns expressed that it may not be published

Couple of points:
- Its definitely true - UK national security *is* threatened in the next few years by the climate crisis, impacts on food, imports & asylum seekers, & wars.
- Zack's wrong about Labour. We're at the front of the fight to save the world

Proving once and for all the Labour Government is not Tory lite, nobody will ever agree with every Government policy but ditch Labour and this is what we'll get. The left and centre left majority in the Hoc need to fight against this together.
