I went with a group of 7 friends and booked through a local company called Albania My Way who were excellent and who tweaked one of their existing tours to meet our needs. Really good pre trip communications, a safe driver, an outstanding guide.

It's lovely. People from Albania are wrongly stigmatised. And I am ashamed to admit I was expecting the area to be much rougher and scruffier than it is. There are pockets of poverty and economic problems, but most countries have those.
