It will be interesting to see how many countries, companies and people there are who will buy into a Ukrainian victory now that the trajectory is starting to change. Once it becomes clear Ukraine will win everybody will want to belong to the winning camp, passive Ukrainians included.

A small amount of rednecks in the U.S. got Trump elected and he took the free world as hostage. A small amount of rednecks in Hungary got Orban elected and he took the EU hostage. Some election and decision making systems should really be reformed.

But I shall also add that the corruption and lack of patriotism is to a large part what the war is all about. Russian poison has had an enormous impact on Ukraine but not enough to bring it down. After victory Ukrainian soldiers will have time on their hands to deal with the traitors.

Bad news from Ukraine. A grandmother who is acquainted with my mother in law called and proudly told her that their family had paid off officials to free her grand son from service in the armed forces. Now the entire family would celebrate. That this still goes on is very bad.

The U.S. flooding Europe with conspiracy theory news and racist propaganda will be counter productive to their cause. Foreign meddling will hurt the far right, pro-Russia parties in Europe badly.

I don't think Putin will stop the war under any other circumstances than a complete Russian victory (no more Ukraine) As long as the war goes on Putin can claim Russia can still win. If Russia lose after Putin is gone he believes his reputation will be intact because people will blame his successor.

Who came up with the idea of Putin changing his calculus and then negotiate a peace? Is there anything anywhere that supports that idea? Has Putin ever backed off before? Cut his losses and called it a day?

I smell Russia a long way in the Iran - U.S. deal. I guess Iran asked Russia for help to avoid a U.S. attack. Russia's interests were also at stake since Iran is an important arms supplier, and provide a safe route to the ocean. So Putin ask Trump to back off and offer a face saving deal.

In my opinion the talk about security guarantees is just a way to fool Ukraine into signing a "peace" agreement that let Russia win the war while Ukraine is made to believe it's safe. Just like the Budapest Memorandum but far worse.

Is there anybody who actually believe that Ukraine's allies and the U.S. will actually provide real security guarantees? Isn't that the highest level of phantasy? The Trump admin might just break the agreement, the Europeans might chicken out when it's time to deliver.

There is no scenario in which Russia win a war against Europe as long as Europe chose to resist. But Europe has been uninterested in defending itself against Russian aggression, just as Europe has been uninterested in a Ukrainian victory against Russia. The result is terror against Ukrainians.

Make no mistake. For Europe Russia's war against Ukraine was always a choice. At anytime since Putin came to power Europe could have limited Russia's aggression, but it chose not to. At anytime after Russia invaded Ukraine in 2014 Europe could have helped Ukraine to win, but it chose not to.

Russia has working on destroying the West for many decades.

Exactly. If Europe wanted to stop the terror, push Russia out of Ukraine and make sure Russia is pacified it could do so with a stroke of a pen. It is all about political will. The resources to win are available in abundance.

To create prosperous societies we must first and foremost defend ourselves against fascism and other extreme ideologies (like communism and islamism). A community oriented ideology based on lifting each individual of society is my current answer. I shall get back to that later.

Free markets and globalization have increased wealth enormously. But if they make it possible for fascism to surcae again it's not worth it, because the destructive nature of fascism and the wars that always follow it will destroy the wealth created by liberalism.

There must be a reckoning with the dark forces that have taken hold in our societies. Personally I have changed my ideology altogether. Prioritizing free markets and globalization in order to increase wealth is a no-go in the face of fascism.

Ukraine has paid an enormous price for this corruption, and so have countries like Moldova, Belarus, Georgia, Armenia and others. Fascism has yet again surfaced and now threatens our way of live at its core. Again we have to fight for survival.

Part of the endless appeasement of Russia and the enormous resistance to do anything at all to stop Russian aggression can be traced to the new Russian weapons. Since 1991 western societies have not acted in their own but their corrupt elites interests towards Russia.

Propaganda to create domestic and international division and hatred in the West, election interference, massive corruption, energy blackmail and collection of compromising material became new Russian weapons against the West - and it has been a real success.

But the Epstein connection of course makes perfect sense since Russia never stopped working for the destruction of Western civilization. After losing the Cold War Russia had to rethink and come up with a more economically efficient method to win.
