My conclusion is that to win over fascism we need more courage, and to prevent the return of fascism we put courage higher on the list of virtues in our societies.

I have been thinking about this issue since EuroMaidan 2013. What is the issue for the "good side"? There is no shortage of good people with good values and no shortage of resources. What we are short of is people with courage, the guts needed to put words into action, to risk health and fortune.

This morning, Ukraine hit Russia’s Novokuybyshevsk refinery in Samara, one of Rosneft’s key plants, processing 8.8M tons of crude annually, about 3% of Russia’s total refining capacity. Located ~1000km from Ukraine’s border, the site has been targeted before in previous strikes.

It says a lot that saying that Ukraine has the right to its own territory is still something that is reported on. In other news the earth is round and the sun comes up in the east.

I wouldn't trust Russian documents even if they are for internal use. Russians lie to each other as much as they lie to everybody else. Who would like to bring bad news to superiors in a country like Russia?
