We have suddenly become guardians for two kids due to extended family involvement with CPS. One is 10 years old, the other is just a baby (15 months).

I need help getting clothes and other needs together for them. They came with very little.

Set us back decades every single time.

People have lost their lives fighting for queer media to exist, and people pissing themselves to "uhm actually" whenever something is perceived by more than five people, need to sit their asses down. Period.

Also I haven't forgotten the years of people being told "Wow! Your writing is just as good as that writing team's, you 100% need to write for them too!"

And then later those exact same people would go.... "Eugh that writing team sucks why have they not been fired yet."

I'm wasting my time.

Whenever I get the rare "I love your writing!" comment it's almost always from someone who has maybe read a line or two, but has not actually sat down and read anything I've written.

I can count on one hand the amount of times someone has said it and it was sincere and not out of pity.

I'm struggling to find reasons to keep writing and to continue pursuing getting published eventually. Ironically, the state of the world has nothing to do with it.

But I'm constantly reminded of how stupid I am, and I know the stories I want to tell are too smart for me to tell.

They're more relaxed, Horde side. Alliance is too tense.

I genuinely wish more people would do this; there's a time to ra ra fight the power and enjoy oneself and still travel to spite the assholes. But this is not one of those times.

Man ponders if he is still a good person if helping others benefits him. The universe answers and tells him: 'Be kind, I don't care why'

If you've ever heard Angry Mulan Man yell "WASH YOUR RICE" that's part of it, iirc. When you wash the rice first it gets rid of the extra starch, so when cooked it's a lot fluffier and such.

I don't know anyone who actually likes those movies, but they bring in well over a billion dollars each time so like...?????
