Ukraine kept asking for help until Ukraine was asked to help β€οΈβπ©Ή
02.10.2025 11:47 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0The EU and NATO used to debate if they should defend Ukrainian territory or not. Now the they are debating if they should defend their own territory or not.
02.10.2025 03:31 β π 374 π 86 π¬ 11 π 6This is my photo from summer 2022 in Kyiv. I think it represents the overall fuel crisis caused by Russian attacks as it was back then
01.10.2025 17:49 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Youβre right. Some of the worst queues Iβve seen in Ukraine would be about one kilometre long.
But it may also be due to gas stations quickly introducing real time notifications via mobile apps about fuel availability, and customers quickly reduced consumption and avoided queuing if possible.
The Ukrainians have made impressive strides in drone warfare, and are arguably the world leader at this point. They'd make excellent advisers/designers/implementers for this project if Europe moves ahead with it.
01.10.2025 14:59 β π 10 π 1 π¬ 1 π 0Will this prompt Russian citizens to protest against Russian war in Ukraine? Of course not.
01.10.2025 11:05 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0This is me queuing for gas in Kyiv in 2022 after Russian attacks. 2025, the tables turned.
01.10.2025 10:54 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0One time recently I heard a drone overhead and rushed to a nearest wall leaving the empty baby stroller in the middle of the street. Another time I heard anti aircraft explosions and went to the nearest cellar of a high rise building.
Thatβs what Russia did to Ukrainians.
I noticed I use situational awareness when I take my dog and baby for a walk. I choose routes that give me quick access to a simple shelter in case Russia attacks us from air mid walk.
01.10.2025 10:06 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I hear Ukrainian soldiers comparing the war in 2022 and 2025, and they say that technologically, itβs already two different wars.
Imagine how much experience they could share.
Ukraine has been asking NATO for help so long that one day Ukraine sent its troops to help NATO.
I canβt tell you how proud I am to see Ukrainian troops teaching Denmark drone defence.
I canβt tell you how much it hurts because I know the price Ukraine is paying.
Thanks for support, it means a lot! Iβve been through too much nonsense since 2014 when Ukrainians said Russia was in this war for long, for serious and with Europe-wide ambitionsβ¦ and the West led by Obama and Merkel just dismissed us.
30.09.2025 14:25 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Itβs been forever since I saw civilian drones in Ukraine, I see Russian-Iranian Shahed drones all the time. They make this nasty high pitch sound and come in swarms. When Ukrainian anti aircraft shoots them down they fire concentrated bursts from multiple weapons. And this is just my life in Kyiv.
30.09.2025 12:35 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Denmark is such a small state, yet so brave with providing Ukraine as much military aid as it can. Hope Europe stands by Denmark in the light of new Russian provocations.
30.09.2025 12:09 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Itβs remarkable you didnβt mention which drones, of which country. βSome mysterious drones flying over Denmark for an unknown reasonβ. As a Ukrainian, I truly hope European leadership starts taking Russian threat seriously and calling it by its name.
30.09.2025 12:06 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Biden provided Ukraine with too little, too late weapons. Trump claims heβs better than that, but how?
29.09.2025 17:16 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I paused, took off warm sweaters of the baby, of the dog, and sat there waiting for the attack to be over. In 15 minutes, the app said the drones flew passing by. I got us all dressed again, and we went for a walk. For a short while, normal life resumed.
Ukraine is already living in postapocalypse.
I dressed myself, dressed the baby, dressed the dog. Set to go for an evening walk suddenly, I heard explosions outside. I checked the app that monitors Russian air attacks. Several drones were flying above Kyiv, Ukrainian anti aircraft was trying to shoot them down.
29.09.2025 16:17 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Experiencing thunderstorms immediately after a massive air strike with drones and cruise and ballistic missilesβ¦
29.09.2025 14:09 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Denmark gets it. The Baltic states get it. Writing this from Ukraine after another night of Shahed drones swarming the skies in hundreds.
Hundreds.
I mean, if Europe doesnβt take action now, they may need to consult Ukrainian civilians how to survive such attacks.
Writing from Kyiv having survived another combined aerial attack. I hope no one in Europe gets to learn the feeling of a flying and falling Shahed drone nearby. But in case you do, we freaking warned you: Russia started with Ukraine and will continue until stopped.
28.09.2025 11:39 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I live in a five storey apartment block in Solomyansky district of Kyiv. Just like the one Russia destroyed today.
Every time I survive a massive Russian attack I get the feeling: next time itβs gotta be us.
Weβre next.
Russia terrorises civilians as the world stands by.
I came there in 2017 to report on the impact the war was having on the coal mining industry. It was a quiet small town of incredibly hardworking people whose lives were dictated by their jobs.
21.09.2025 19:21 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Whatβs painful is that the cityβs name literally means βthe peaceful cityβ.
And it was renamed in 2016 instead of the former name βDymytrovβ that was glorifying a communist Georgi Dimitrov.
The resolution: βLetβs wait and see before we condemn; and when we do, letβs condemn the victimβ
21.09.2025 10:26 β π 5 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0In 2025 this sounds like a start of a joke β€οΈβπ©Ή
21.09.2025 10:25 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Eastern Sentry initiative sounds good. But decades from now, at history lessons, children will ask:
Wait, why did they protect anyone else but Ukraine, when Ukraine was the victim?
And no one will know how to answer.
Russia invaded Ukraine when Obama was the president, continued when Trump became the president, escalated when Biden was the president, and escalated when Trump was the president
20.09.2025 14:26 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Massive Attack is unhappy with Spotify investing in mil tech helping Ukraine. As a Ukrainian who grew up listening to Massive Attack Iβm now wondering: is the band happy with Russian war crimes in Ukraine?
