Kawaki is an interesting contradictory element in the middle of the “sunshine family”, trying to protect the source of this philosophy, which he considers important, but acting against it by trying to do everything by himself, hating himself and giving up on comprehension and cooperation.

Naruto’s philosophy, shared and extended by Hinata, is about self-confidence, kindness, mutual comprehension and cooperation. All prosocial qualities, crucial for social cohesion, union and connivance.

It’s curious how Konoha seems to have taken a step back to old measures without Naruto there. How Naruto’s presence, words and behavior were enough for those around him to want to support him and his ideals. He’d protect kids against odds and plead for a more humane management of delicate issues.

He extended the light with Hinata’s kind nature and they passed it down to their kids. Now, without Naruto and Hinata there to take care and give warmth, we still are able to see fragments of them, of what makes them a beacon of hope, in his kids.

And Kawaki isn’t the only case! We’ve seen along Naruto’s journey how he have changed several characters who are also thankful with him! Gaara, Neji, Nagato, Obito, Sasuke, even Hinata. I like to see Naruto as the beacon of hope of his world. That’s the kind of character he was set up to become.

Kawaki was the new gen kid who felt terrified, not for the world’s safety but of loosing Naruto, because for him, Naruto was what’s most important in the world. I like the way he sees a world without Naruto hopeless because only Naruto was able to change him, when he considered himself a lost cause.

Actually, ninjas in general were fine with Naruto being the most powerful shinobi because they knew he wouldn’t abuse that power. But suddenly, when a threat was too big even for Naruto and Sasuke combined, ninjas and kids experienced dread again.
