The STEM Leading the Learning group were learning about physical and chemical reactions today. First we made salt crystal wands. Then we went outside and made exploding rockets. #antoSTEM

We were learning about different foods grown in Scotland. With a partner, we created a menu for a 3 course meal.

The STEM Ambassadors from Denny High visited our class on Friday. We were learning about what plants need to grow and planted our own seeds. #antoSTEM

To celebrate the end of Maths week, we did maths outside with @uttoutdoorlearning.bsky.social. We went on a right angle hunt, followed directions using a compass, made 2D shapes and measured distances in the playground. #antonumeracy

We had such a lovely time with our families at the MacMillan Coffee morning eating yummy cakes.

We were learning about the artist Paul Klee. Inspired by his artwork, we created our own paintings using 2D shapes and lines #antonumeracy

We were learning about the mathematician Ada Lovelace and how she was the first computer programmer. After we drew a maze then tried to code the Sphero to move around it. #antonumeracy

After our visit from Valerie the cow last week, we were learning about the price of milk in the supermarkets. We used our money skills to work out the supermarkets profit in milk. #antonumeracy

This morning we watched Super Quester live. We loved asking questions, listening to the story and solving the puzzles. #antonumeracy

We loved our first outdoor learning session on Friday. We learned about different kinds of birds, made birds nest and how oysters filter water.

We were able to use the iPads to code the Spheros. We can move it across the room and change the colour of the lights.

Last week we created artwork inspired by our class novel, Charlottes Web. We used lines and patterns to create a farm scene.

We have been learning about 2D shapes and are able to create tiling patterns.

We worked together to list adjectives we could use in our writing.
