The contest is already not fair and will never be made fair by any amount of rules. What makes it more fair is the buy-in by the participants that this is a contest about music, skill and performance.

Participants using it for other means ruin the spirit of it for everyone else.

While I do welcome some of these needed changes, I truly believe that using the rules to try and 'catch out' people who are "technically playing by the rules but are not in the spirit of the thing" is a futile endeavour. People who find loopholes will just find more loopholes. #eurovision
