The Trump administration warned federal employees of β€œadverse consequences” for not reporting colleagues resisting orders to eliminate diversity, equity, and inclusion programs, giving a 10-day deadline to report via a special email account.

Last month, Sen. Deb Fischer's (R-NE) husband refused to shake the Vice President's hand.

Yesterday, he tried to shake Doug Emhoff's hand. The Second Gentleman replied: "Why would you try to shake my hand when you wouldn’t shake my wife’s hand?”

REPOST if you love Doug Emhoff!

Trump officials pause health agencies’ communications, citing review The agencies are charged with making decisions that touch the lives of every American and are the source of crucial information to health-care providers.

The White House and Trump have ordered a halt to all external Health communications from CDC, FDA, NIH, NSF and a shut down of websites and social media. No info on drug recalls, health alerts, disease tracking, safety alerts, epidemic info etc.

Trump is trying to muzzle science communication

As America's homelessness crisis intensifies by the day, confirmation hearings begin tomorrow for a HUD nominee who:

* rejects Housing First
* supports criminalizing homeless people for sleeping outside
* opposed a bill expanding affordable housing

Scott Turner's confirmation would be a disaster.

For Just Dollars a Day, Inmates Fight California’s Fires Hundreds of incarcerated people are firefighting in Los Angeles. They are paid a maximum of $10.24 a day, and receive an additional $1 for each hour that they battle the deadly blazes.

I don't care that the 13th Amendment allows slavery for prison labor. Slavery is wrong. I have no problem with using volunteer prison labor to fight fires. But. You have to pay them minimum wage at least. And get rid of the prohibition against becoming firefighters once released.

Because I am an infectious diseases specialist so I use it for a range of parasitic infections in patients referred to me. I never use it to treat cancer because a) I'm not an oncologist and b) it doesn't treat cancer."
