WTF?!? Border Czar Tom Homan claimed that ICE and Border Patrol agents don’t need probable cause to detain people they suspect are undocumented, saying they can do so based on factors like physical appearance. This is straight-up racial profiling, not law enforcement.

ICE abuse and violence isn’t starting from scratch.

ICE officers aren’t new grads from ICE school.

ICE abuses immigrants, because US law enforcement abuses residents.

ICE facilities do human rights abuses because US jails and prisons do.

Another thing we don’t talk about enough is statelessness, and how the attack on birthright citizenship could create a global crisis and permanent underclass that you are born into forever.

Reminder that it took conservatives 50 years of intensely organized effort to overturn Roe v Wade. We need to be ready to commit at that same level if we want to make a better future for the children of the world.

Money in politics enshrined in Citizens United, unwillingness to take a hard stand against torture under any circumstances, not dealing with systemic racism, and many more. Including not being willing to do what needs to be done to address climate change. 2/

Among the many other comments about Texas and “this is what you voted for…” we need to start acknowledging that this is a systemic problem way bigger than race. Racism, misogyny, and regressive policies have been voted in by both parties in a long term way 1/
