The actual antagonist of the story isn't a physical person but more a concept/invisible force, buuuuut there IS Paradigm. They couldn't be called an evil tech company if they weren't about greed and control, and they fear losing what power they have.

Rin would be in charge of security, hacking into or disabling systems, and also monitoring the situation. Seiji would be the distraction/getaway driver, and Flynn, with his military experience, would be best suited to the stealth side of things. He's more than capable of being the muscle as well.

The 3 MCs want to overcome their pasts and become better people. They all hate where they're at currently and want better lives. Change isn't easy but they're all very determined, and that possibility of something better is what pushed them all to act.

Hope. Despite their differences they all want something better for themselves and will do whatever it takes to get a good ending.

And last but not least is Rin, who at the start of the story was looking for people to help with her pilot research. Literally just honing in on people she thinks would be good candidates and going "YOU!" Seiji and Flynn never stood a chance lol.

Next up we have Seiji, also found by Rin and forced out of his bitter, lonely existence after losing his fighting career and holing up in a shack in the middle of nowhere to try and rebuild his mech and himself. This is basically his reaction to her arrival.

Starting with Nathan/"Flynn" before Rin drags him out of hiding. She found him willingly isolated from society and said "nah".

Oooh I love the way you described this thing! It sounds very terrifying, especially with the flurry of punches. I was expecting it to dodge or something, not hunker down and bullet punch the debris.

Over half of the instances of the word "movement" I found were in reference to the Kumori. This thing's pretty fast, y'know?

Idk why but them being good swimmers is so funny to me, I love it! And only eating half the people is so thoughtful of them 😂

With my shipwrecked familiars, the monsters that hunt them are good swimmers, and they are restrained enough to only eat half the people they catch and keep the other half to sacrifice as an offering to their leader.

For Felcrown, the antagonist really commits to his plan.

The most antagonistic guy we meet has had a rough go of life; he's ambitious and is /trying/ to outwit his circumstances.
