That's what I was referring to. You're seeing more creators leave to do their projects on Kickstarter, Indiegogo, etc. Comics aren't dying, just the current model will die.

The shift has already begun to go straight to consumer

I hate to say this, but I honestly feel like comics as we know them now will go the way of the DoDo within 5 to 10 years.

They would probably keep the rights because good IP is like gold, & likely disband the comics division altogether to do away with the overhead of keeping it going.

Hadn't thought of that till I read this. It's a very good point. It could be dissolved altogether. Damn.
