Lore to me is anything that's not content and not rules. All setting info, flavor text, character narrative, history etc.

I think it's fine to place it wherever especially in a ttrpg. If I don't like the lore at my table I change or ignore it. I control the cannon

I remember I didn't follow a rule or even find a care to look it up in a playtest. Needless to say that rule got tossed into the sun immediately.

I feel ya. The more niche the hobby the more isolated I feel. I straight up don't agree with 90% of what other ttrpg devs say or their methodology.

I always felt like I fit in with photographers though. Just a super chill non crab in a bucket hobby.

I do not envy those that lick the boots of large corporations. I pray they realize the errors of their ways.

From what it looks like... not really. There's some small ones currently being overloaded but I doubt their security. There's steam chats which function and you're using steam anyways but it's like a barebones skeleton that won't ever be fleshed out.
