02.02.2025 13:41 β π 1 π 1 π¬ 1 π 0My 15 year old is afraid of using AI for school work because their school has equated use AI with cheating. No discussion of appropriate use. It will be hard to unlearn that and consider where it is appropriate to use when the message they are getting is that students can be expelled if they use AI.

I think more people will find you if you keep ME/CFS in the name. If focusing exclusively on studies and science, #1. If going to expand focus to be beyond just science, #2. #3 wouldn't be clear to me that you focus on ME/CFS, and ME Unravelled might be a broad search string that would miss people.

Just came back from a work trip to Asia. I love how many masked people were in Tokyo, and to a lesser extent Seoul. Half the people on the train in Tokyo were masked. Back home, I only saw two other masked families out today in Minneapolis even with the COVID / flu / RSV going around.

"Dr. Vernon and her team determined that new incidence cases of ME/CFS were 15 times higher than pre-pandemic levels.
These findings provide additional evidence that infections, including those caused by SARS-CoV-2, can lead to Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (ME/CFS)."
#MECFS #LongCovid
For those not familiar with ME/CFS, this is a good intro overview. There are also very good more detailed accounts and research, but this is a nice digestible high-level intro summary we shared with extended family members who thought having long covid just meant a loss of taste or smell.
19.01.2025 02:01 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Covid infection can cause lasting cognitive impairment, memory issues, clinical anxiety and depression, obsessive behaviour, brain fog, PTSD-like symptoms, insomnia, increased risk of psychosis, mood swings, heightened stress responses.
And that's just a taste.

Don't remove your mask indoors. Aerosols < 5 micrometers can persist in the air for hours.
PSA: π¨ DO NOT TAKE YOUR MASK OFF INDOORS, even if there is no one else around.π¨
The virus persists in the air for HOURS because #CovidIsAirborne
Only take your mask off outdoors, and preferably use an N95 mask.
