ICE Threw Thousands of Kids in Detention, Many For Longer Than Court-Prescribed Limit Former immigration staffers argue ICE is choosing to detain families for prolonged periods to speed deportations and compel them to leave.

In court documents, families described brutal conditions. Parents said it was difficult to get water to mix with formula for babies, and food was contaminated with mold and worms. Children were under so much stress they were hitting their own faces or wetting themselves despite being potty-trained.

Congratulations! We went through something very similar and it was very hard and it took up so much mental, emotional and physical energy. But we came out the other side and it’s been VERY fun being a parent (still exhausting haha). You guys are going to be terrific parents! Enjoy!

Oatmeal path is solid. I’ve resorted to quick oats in the microwave with a spoonful of peanut butter added after. Shake in some seeds or something for extra healthy feelings.
