Stories showing how the rule of law, and Labour’s Human Rights Act and the ECHR - work for ordinary citizens against secrecy, authoritarianism, and lack of accountability: and that that is precisely why the reactionary right and their oligarch friends loathe them.

So saddened to hear of the death of Brian Patten. His sublime poetry put into words deep feelings which I could not adequately express. His Love Poems book has been a precious possession for decades. What a gift he had.
