Get in the mood for Paul Morrissey's SPIKE OF BENSONHURST (1980), with Morrissey's very inspired, creative selection of insanely catchy '80s Italian pop songs to soundtrack the picture. The film wouldn't be the same without them.

We just learned that the PARADISE Blu-ray was honored by the folks at Mr. Skin. Somewhere, we hope, early FCE champion and friend McBeardo (Mike McPadden), who was Mr. Skin Editorial Director for many years, is smiling.

Not much different from nearly 40 years ago, when FilmDallas tried to release LOOSE ENDS, and came up against the same roadblocks.

Eddie (John Jenkins) & Billy (Chris Mulkey) in PATTI ROCKS (1987). In 1975, they played the same characters in LOOSE ENDS. We made many efforts to release the latter, along w/PR, but there are licensing issues related to music cues & footage from another, very well-known film.

It mostly certainly is filmed in/around Twin Cities and MN. David Burton Morris is a native son.

Originally rated X for its explicit language, David Burton Morris's critically-acclaimed, racy comedy PATTI ROCKS was eventually granted an R rating. It's coming early next year from Fun City Editions.

RIP Israeli-American DP Adam Greenberg who died 10/30 & was behind the look of several iconic '80s/'90s hits, plus PARADISE. 😉 He shot LEMON POPSICLE & its remake, LAST AMERICAN VIRGIN. In the US, he lensed TERMINATOR & T2, NEAR DARK & GHOST. After PARADISE, he shot DAVE, starring Mr. Phoebe Cates.

“It was February of 1980 when we filmed that. So, just put that in your pipe and smoke it. So, punk was already there and getting only more so. It’s lovely to say I was a part of it in whatever little way that I could be as a 15-year old girl in the film industry.”
