Yesterday was the 58th anniversary of John Coltrane's passing.

Here's my favorite musician's section of my record collection. I own quite a few CDs and boxsets too. As you can see, I'm particularly interested in what he recorded from 1960 to his death in 1967.

No information on the sleeve but from what I gathered, only side B was recorded in Stockholm, Sweden. 'My Favorite Things' seems to have been recorded in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Anyway, crappy sound and great music, as usual with this kind of release 😃

#NowPlaying The Byron Allen Trio, recorded on September 25, 1964 and released on the ESP-Disk label.

This is Allen's first album as a leader. He would release one more album nearly 15 years after his debut before he disappeared from the scene.
