You’ve basically encapsulated everything I’m seeing re: executive mandates for RTO. Near zero feedback on those “optimised” initiatives, but worse still, I suspect that it is entirely by design. The gulf is real.

Mac is oddly not affected, seems to be built with RPATH as opposed to RUNPATH (TIL)

Hot tip! When trying to use more recent slang releases

If you have the Vulkan SDK, you may have LD_LIBRARY_PATH configured for Vulkan (perhaps via setup-env.sh)

This causes slangc to dynamically load the *old* Vulkan SDK provided libs

Be sure that ‘slangc -v’ returns the version you expect!! ;)
