The poster almost always says to vote Alba, who are unlikely to win any seats, and most of whom have a massive grudge against the SNP. If your aim was to con Indy supporters into wasting their list votes and reducing the chances of a pro-Indy majority, this is exactly what you would want.

Every day I see another post on FB from someone telling Indy supporters not to vote SNP on the Holyrood list vote. It’s so frequent I’m starting to think it’s Unionist bots. The SNP aren’t polling as highly as they were in the constituencies. They may well pick up list seats. If the votes are there.

A bit predictable. St Mirren bully us. Beni particularly vulnerable to this. Can’t argue with the red card, but FFS, again?

They are definitely underdogs right now, though you can never be 100% sure with Wales. Their game v Scotland in Cardiff could be very tight. I hope it’s a walk in the park for Scotland, we’ve had way too much grief there over the years, but Wales tend to turn up at home.

I’ve lived and worked in Wales since 2008, but there will only ever be one team for me. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

(There have been times when supporting Wales would have been an easier option. This is not one of those times).

Speaking as someone who works for always Labour-run NHS Wales, all I can say is that they’d better get a bloody move on then.

They basically ignore this. Doesn’t fit the narrative.

They’re in for a terrible shock when they realise that the way people voted at the GE was a massive outlier.

Labour have decided to mention ‘the SNP’s terrible record’ at every possible opportunity. The problem is that the SNP’s record is actually pretty good. Which is why people have been consistently voting them back in, and are set to do so again this year.

Guardian article nails it. She was Reform before Reform even existed. The nastiest member of the nasty party. They are a perfect fit for each other. And hopefully I’ll be able to laugh at her losing her seat next time round.

Part of me would like there to be an investigation that rescinds it, like with Fyssas in ‘06. But that isn’t the point here. The point is that Celtic got a man sent off and they want to send a clear message to referees that that isn’t a thing that happens to Celtic players.

First domestic red card in nearly two years. And they’re making sure to make as huge a fuss as possible, to ensure that no referees dare to penalise their team again. FFS - the ref didn’t even give it. He followed the usual path, gave a yellow, and let VAR review it.

Hibs (the Edinburgh football team I don’t support) also won the Scottish Cup in 2016, for the first time since 1902 (it used to be funny as hell). And Leicester City won the Premiership title in England (they were 5000-1 outsiders). You may be onto something there…

They literally used to say the same thing about the Pope dying every time Wales won a rugby grand slam (winning every match in the 5, now 6 Nations tournament). The joke was that Wales had their best ever team in 1978, and two Popes died. Sadly, it really only happened in 1978 and 2005!

This will not come as a surprise to anyone familiar with Scottish politics. Labour in Scotland are driven entirely by hatred of the SNP. They are in coalition with the Tories in multiple councils in order to shut the SNP out.

Just do what you’re told by law enforcement and you won’t be crucified. Simples.

This annoys me. It’s such a crap title for a great show.

They are literally afraid to answer, because they are well aware that wherever they set the bar, it will eventually be cleared. So their only option is to refuse to say, which is ridiculous and stupid. Of course, this is why Cole-Hamilton wants a law to lock Scotland into the Union for ever.

We've spent ten years being proved right about all the things the loudest, biggest voices in the UK media insisted, often obnoxiously, we were wrong about. The real kicker is that there's no consolation whatsoever in being correct. Brexit, Putin, Johnson, Truss, Trump, Twitter, Netanyahu etc etc...

Yup. Until it happens, and then suddenly that isn’t enough any more. The goalposts were always set wherever the speaker felt was unachievable. Now they don’t feel confident anything is unacheivable, so now they just refuse (ridiculously) to say where the bar is.

Sarwar will need more than a ‘six figure sum’ to achieve that. He’ll need a personality bypass and a miracle.

I tend to agree with you, but the ones who really annoy me are MSPs (and presumably MSs) who are elected to regional list seats (down to party vote share). If they defect then the party who was elected should get to choose a replacement, but they don’t.

And that will be the last we ever hear of him, no doubt. 🤬
