The park was a needed respite from the heat and hustle of Amsterdam. There are many areas of quiet walks, flowers, ponds, art, and coolness on a hot day. It’s a second living room for many in the city

I was in Vondelpark two weeks ago. I love its design a lot. I love the pedestrian dirt paths on the sides that are easy on the feet. It is very busy during rush hour, though. I saw a bike crash at a very busy double Y intersection near Groot Melkuis. I wish I had spent more time at the park

I remember writing him in one of them that my chemistry teacher was the baseball coach and he was encouraging me to pitch (I’m tall.) He wrote back to encourage me to try out for the team just so that I could “accidentally” throw the ball hard at my “jack a$$ weirdo teacher” in the back of the head

This is sad. I wrote several letters to him in the 90’s and he responded to them all. This was after my high school chemistry teacher played the Elements song and I loved it. I asked my teacher if he had his address to write to. A month later he gave me a paper with his address (it was hard to find)

This sounds a bit gross. Did they process the tongue (grind it or slice it) before canning it, or was it just a plain whole tongue in jelly?
