McSweeney isn’t just a strategist, he runs the show.
Starmer is just the front, with no real beliefs of his own to get in the way anyway.
When are we going to have a special on:
• The rise of the far-right
• The state of the NHS
• The severe lack of trans+ healthcare
• The constantly hiking rent
• The 1% who own half this country's wealth
• Stagnant wages for the working class
• The state of council homes
• The housing crisis
...
Starmer needs to find the courage to follow his arguments about the failures and costs of Brexit to their logical conclusion. His recent foreign policy speech fell short by continuing to gloss over hard truths, and pretend Britain can keep muddling through.

Fortunately David Lammy you have the chance to vote for a customs union by backing our bill next week.

The bottom 90% lost a collective $79 trillion in wages over the past 50 years.
Why? Because the top 1% ate up an increasingly larger share of the national income — so that $79 trillion flowed to them instead of the working class.

When only a third of the electorate can end up deciding the outcome, it’s hard to say the whole country ‘deserves’ the consequences. That’s why PR matters.

Labour warned of fresh economic hit as Brexit accelerates high-skilled 'brain drain' from UK. The Independent, 2 December 2025.
Brexit means we are losing out on some of the biggest talent in the world, and some of the UK's biggest talent are emigrating to Europe. We must restore freedom of movement.
