A two-year study into tenancy sustainment in social housing has highlighted the difficulties and sacrifices tenants face paying their rent.
Funded by @nuffieldfoundation.org the 'Holding on to Home' study has published a final report on their findings:

Interventions to encourage engagement need to be developed alongside the service and not as an afterthought
Promotion of services should focus on factors that motivate parents to attend (eg social contact with other parents) rather than the rationale for the service provision
3
QR codes could be used to link to additional resources
Videos showing the voices of diverse service users can be valuable to address concerns and to show the value of services for βparents like meβ
Key findings 2
Careful consideration needs to be given to how to communicate with families not currently connected with family hubs/childrenβs centres
Messages need to be clear, simple and translated into local languages
Key findings 1
Parents are confused about what the services are, who theyβre for and the benefits of attending.
Lots of different names to describe services is confusing and there needs to be consistent branding
Our report on using #BehaviouralScience to increase engagement with family hub services has now been published by the Department for Education
