That's not good. drachelbarr & 20h β’ β’β’ Neuroscientist here... creativity is a process. A process. A FUCKING PROCESS. Not an output. Nobody is gatekeeping the process - Al simply invites you to skip to the end, to the output. Which, as mentioned, is not creativity. Nobody cares if the output is aesthetically pleasing, because the process, the act itself, the limitation of a single human mind and the resulting creations that capture that one single inimitable human experience... is what makes a creation worth paying attention
Well put by @drrachelbarr.bsky.social

I feel like I should find and replace a capacitor and sell it as a collectors item.
Turns out its a fan in my PC that's refusing to stop spinning, and the "beeping" was the rhythmic noise of being slightly unbalanced.
That's all well and good, I unplugged the computer, assuming the power supply was just still powering the fan controller for some reason. Sadly, the fan didn't stop.

And then computers became an A/B tested telemetry-based advertising conduit to brains for SaaS recurring revenue.
My phone has full optical character recognition of 47,000 photos. I can search individual words.
I cannot search three words in quotes.
Computers used to be powerful. That power meant something. It was power for making your life better in sovereignty to your own interests.
And now we have this.
i keep reading stories about the shutdown ending so now people can get their food benefits.
i need these authors to make sure its clear that it wasnt the shutdown blocking people from getting aid.

Our records indicate the claim was filed under diagnosis code F32.9 (Depressive disorder, unspecified), while the corresponding prescription and referral history list treatment for lumbar disc herniation (back pain).
Re: Incorrect Diagnosis in Record Hi Thank you for reaching out. We have reviewed your visit documentation and can confirm that the notes in question were generated using our Al scribe system. It appears the Al tool assigned diagnosis code F32.9 (Depressive disorder, unspecified), while your visit notes and treatment plan reference lumbar disc herniation (back pain). Per compliance policy, certain Al-generated fields cannot be manually updated by clinic staff and require vendor correction. We have escalated this to our vendor support team and opened ticket # . We'll notify you once we receive confirmation or correction from the vendor.
a few months ago I said "having generative AI handle absolutely anything with regards to healthcare is a nightmare and should be banned" and a bunch of people made fun of me and called me stupid. anyways,
