If you're not already reading it then please give the Power Fantasy a read. Honestly one of the best comics out there right now. It tells the story of 6 superhumans who must never fight each other if the world is to continue to exist.

TPF #12 was a great flashback and incredible modern day (well 1999) developments, can't wait to see how arc 3 goes. We're so back

In SOTR we don't really get any indication former Victors are celebs, the closest we get is Beetee who is seen as useful for his mind.

Also, all the more celebrity Tributes came after the 2nd Quarter Quell.

This solidifies my desire for a Plutarch book to round out the prequel trilogy

It's absolutely in his skillset & a good way to give the Victors some long term protection. Also if they're doing celeb events it gives Plutarch a chance to scope out who's most sympathetic to rebellion

Add on that longer waits between books and, it being the middle of the series, having a lot of set up plots for the final books, fans at the time had understandable but imo mostly overblown frustrations

Without going into any plot details and spoiling things, the thing that is a change 7 onwards is the world gets bigger and we get a lot more important characters, which inevitably means time away from the Emons Field 5
