"why die on the hill of sports" look, in most of america where options for secular community are artificially limited as is, sports are one of the few ways for kids to have a social life. by denying trans kids a meaningful way to participate youre basically telling them to become a statistic

It's not that bad! Although I looked up the bobsled track and sadly it's not possible to ride it anymore, so you'd have to look for some other Winter Olympics city

Would you fly to Calgary and pay $100 to have a bobsled instructor take you down the bobsled track? You don't have to be an Olympian to do it

Yes. Before 1888, ballots weren't secret, and parties would print colour-coded ballots with their candidates of choice already marked on them. People were beaten for trying to vote with the wrong ballot. Octavius Catto, a civil rights activist and educator, was murdered because he tried to vote.

I'm with Castellanos on this one. A dog that can talk has a super-power, and he uses it to help people. It's a great answer too, most players probably answer one of Batman, Superman, or Spiderman.

Alleged someone allegedly burning a concentration camp in Kansas City.

Suburban wine moms will really be like "you believe in voting? that pales in effectiveness to my strategy, firebombing a concentration camp" and then very effectively firebomb a concentration camp

A court has ruled that the government's authoritarian ban on Palestine Action was unlawful.

Time to stop criminalising the people protesting a genocide - and start ending the UK's complicity.

I bounced off New Vegas on Xbox 360 because I had a bug where everything I killed came back to life whenever I loaded a save that was more than three days old. One of my characters became unplayable because my last save was in the middle of a bunch of dead Deathclaws.

That would've been an amazing play. I had the letters for NEOVENATOR (three of them were already on the board) and discovered it's not valid.

My first time fighting the final boss, I had two heroes at Death's Door and they just managed to eke out a victory.

So much of art is created in the process of moving it from your mind to the medium.

The arbitrariness is annoying. It's somehow based on a certain frequency of usage in English. So ALLOSAUR and MAIASAUR are valid but ULTRASAUR and SPINOSAUR are not. BRONTOSAUR and BRONTOSAURUS are valid, yet BRACHIOSAUR is valid and BRACHIOSAURUS isn't. Unlikely to come up, but a good example.

It's so frustrating, something similar is happening in Canada. There's still lots of tofu and legumes available, but the plant-based meat substitutes are shrinking and becoming much more expensive.

Nintendo did a survey a few years ago and every PokΓ©mon was indeed someone's favourite PokΓ©mon, except Cascoon and Gumshoos. But some people probably have them as favourites now thanks to that survey.

The stupid thing is that anyone believes the survey that said 42% of people don't know that chips are made of potatoes. It was an anonymous Youtube survey. Suddenly we expect Youtube commenters to take surveys seriously?

Quackle's AI is capable of assessing the risk of setting up a high score. It simulates a variety of possible racks you could have and calculates the odds that it would lose the game because it set up a big play. However, it can't deduce what's on the opponent's rack like a few top human players can
