That's the dream right there 😭. I'm in a master-level "topics course" right now that's actually super chill, we get 4 assignments and one take-home "exam" (just an assignment where you're not allowed to colab) and the marking is extremely lax and we're just having fun learning cool stuff.

wish I could enact the Academic Dream of locking myself in a room and thinking about really weird stuff and never telling anyone.

I think I'm probably a lot more capable at a lot of things than I give myself credit for and I would probably succeed at a lot more things if I actually sat down and did it.

I don't mean like "I didn't like it because I'm not smart" I mean like I wish I was a NASA guy lol. Would be cool to just sit down and churn out a calculation without looking everything up all the time.
