I have some very exciting news

The ASR Cruiser Marco Polo, under Captain Angela Fukuhara, would play a key role in many of the early engagements of the period, including the disasterous First Battle of Caleb IV.

ASR (Advanced Sensor Redoubt) Vessels like the Marco Polo, Advent and Garrick were rare but vital assets during the early stages of the Federation-Klingon Cold War. Their sensor suites and long range subspace arrays were often the first line of defence for Starfleet within the Disputed Area.

A certain generation of Trekkies would be much happier if they accepted the fact that not every piece of media in a sixty year old franchise is going to necessarily appeal to them. You are no longer the target audience, it happens to all of us.

To be clear: Lura Thok in #StarfleetAcademy is Klingon on her mother's side and Jem'Hadar on her father's side. If you can believe that Humans and Vulcans/Klingons/Betazoids can have offspring, you can also believe that in 800 years the Founders/somebody else created Jem'Hadar who could be fathers.

"Portraits of Leadership in the 22nd Century" will highlight some of the characters that have been populating SAN FRANCISCO, 2161, and THE LAST FOUNDER.
