Mr. Holland is a huge dick but at least he didn't go into a sex offender registry? Kingdom is the kinda film you'd expect post 9/11. Redford in a beard with beautiful scenery but a light story. Penn as David Kleinfeld is the picture of an unscrupulous lawyer.

A few too many ideas made Madness less cohesive than I would've liked, still Neill rules. My first anime of any kind was a terrific reality bending thriller. Drys didn't think through their good intentions to devastating effects. Day-Lewis' acting moves mountains.

A top shelf doc, Burns created a piece that should be required viewing for every American. I'll be thinking about Enemy for a bit, Gyllenhaal was tremendous. Simulated realities were so en vouge in the late 90s. If you watch Identity while high, it might zoom you.

A fun and clever comedy, Monroe and Lemmon steal the show. A White House w/ class and dignity, such a fairytale now. Death has the patience of a saint, will even sit and play chess with you. When the whole world wants you to do the immoral, the struggle is real.
