Tell me something – a small thing – you really really love. Mine is this quote from an interview with Mackenzie Crook about his writing shed: “It’s not a ‘man cave’, there’s no calendar of saucy ladies or beer cooler (although I do have a fridge where my tortoises hibernate in the colder months).”

oh god. the choice between this and the out-and-out antisemites and racists.
I would like to be able to vote for some party that is guided by evidence and things that have been rigorously tested by the scientific method tbh.

Aww, sorry... I'm rubbish at this Soshul Meeja... I meant peeps who aren't famous to varying degrees. Sorry, didn't mean to hijack your post and make it All About Me! I meant I like it when people post about their everyday lives and passions and ups and downs.

My favourite accounts that I follow are "normal" people; I like seeing "mundane" stuff. Yes the writing and art-making but also the cat-adopting, the dog-walking, the food-cooking, the beer-drinking, the trips and holidays, the telly- and film-watching... Feels like a little community, somehow.

Enjoyed Ed and Tim commentating on the skiing and snowboarding. And Rob Walker absolutely losing it when Klaebo of Norway won his 6th gold medal.

Missing the Winter Olympics now they're done (but for the Closing Ceremony). I've never watched them as keenly before, but the friendly time zone, half term, and dreadful weather (here in the UK at least) made them absolutely irresistible.

Some sort of nail treatment? I use Sally Hansen Repair and Rescue*. Just as is, or with a shiny top coat. And massaging a nail oil into nails and cuticles, eg while watching TV, helps. I used to have a lavendery one that I liked, but now just use a castor oil that I originally bought for my hair.

I'm not particularly fussed about crisps but if you are and have a Lidl nearby, their Honey and Sriracha ones are quite nice.
