Warhammer fantasy enthusiast, mainly conversions. There's a place in my heart for middlehammer, non-grim 2nd-ed style 40k. Secondary enthusiasms: films, jokes, fiction, bowie-tainted rock, Cymru, the end of the world
Thanks!

Well, it doesn't look great too close, and every time I look at it I see things to improve. The original in WD had small Ork glyphs on it (shootaz, teef etc) which I was too chicken to replicate!
Lovely! I have 3-4 of these in a cupboard with some other aspect warriors.
If I ever get round to it, I'll be very happy if mine look as good as yours.
A converted Zodgrod Wortsnagga, the Ork Runtherd character from Warhammer 40,000, painted with bright colours of the 1990s, complete with back banner
Day 3 of Zodgrod, I never finish projects so this is a big blip.
In some ways he'll never be done, because of neuroses, but here he is anyway, kind of done!
First homemade banner, using the natural scruffiness of Orks as cover for inexperience and haste!
Thanks!
04.02.2026 18:14 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Thanks! I always liked the metal original, didn't love the recent floppy haired remake, and decided to have a go at remaking him when I got the lil gretchin box as a Christmas stocking filler.

04.02.2026 17:03 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0A Zodgrod Wortsnagga Ork runtherd conversion, with greenstuff hair squigs, painted in tribute to the old character with red weapons, blue hair and yellow pauldrons
A WIP paint job of my Zodgrod conversion, following the paint scheme of old (white fur on the boots, blue hair squigs, red weapons, yellow pauldrons).
The back banner will take longer...
You are too kind!
I wish I had made his hair bigger.
And am slowly realizing that I have never freehanded a banner and even this simple snake design is going to be a challenge...
Love a bit of greenstuff work, nice

02.02.2026 16:52 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0A plastic Ork runtherd miniature converted with a new pistol-wielding arm, and greenstuff fur on the boots, chin and head, in an attempt to portray the classic character Zodgrod Wortsnagga (the Wonder Years)
Zodgrod Wortsnagga! ... Has a lovely old metal model and a less lovely new plastic one
I had a runtherd I couldn't warm to next to the jolly Gretchin he herds
So I've given him a hair squig beard & quiff (does the eyepatch band make him look like McEnroe?) & an arm with a pistol
Banner to follow!
Gorgeous

Where is the leader figure in gold, top left image, from?
Maybe a little ruined stone staircase? I like building them from bits of sprue.
They can have quite a small footprint
Thanks! I may have to invest in some. Really like the way you've built up the fabric on the headdress.
06.01.2026 16:05 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Looks good! I'm always delighted to see putty work.
Is this sculpy or magic sculpt or bees putty?
I've only ever used greenstuff or milliput but would like to branch out, and this looks tidy.
Joyous!

23.12.2025 00:12 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Ah, I haven't read that one!
They feature prominently in some of the Nagash books, but I didn't warm to them there - for me the fun, zany stuff is essential to enjoying them, as soon as it becomes "a million rats biting you would be hard to beat" it loses that GW special toy magic.
Juan Hidalgo has a lot to answer for.
