I think a final fantasy set done properly should communicate the joy & discovery of playing those games. But every card just feels like this, some hyper-specific reference, an inside joke impossible to get unless you're already on the inside of it. Completely inaccessible as a standalone piece.

The final fantasy set may be cool for big FF fans but as a magic player I am STRUGGLING to find anything to talk about with this set. Just feels a mess aesthetically and structurally and every card feels like a rehash of a card that already exists
