11.10.2025 02:52 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0I support several trans charities with my work, including donating all royalties from my book.
One of those organisations is Transgender Victoria.
If you donate to them through GiveOutDay between now and 16 October, funds will be matched.

Today I gave a presentation. Someone came up to me afterwards and said I was so convincing and would make a really good conman 😂.
I’ll take the compliment!
(*I told her I’d make a terrible conman because I’m an awful liar.*)
That would explain a lot

Get in touch with Rachel Caines at AWM. She’s doing a PhD on this.
02.09.2025 22:57 — 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0I’m old enough to remember when there was a pandemic, the Australian borders closed, and when stuff reopened after lockdowns there were massive staff shortages in all sorts of industries (especially hospitality and agriculture) because of the lack of immigrants.
31.08.2025 05:48 — 👍 9 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0I had the pleasure of being a judge for the NSW Regional and Community History and Australian History categories in this year’s NSW Premier’s History Awards.
Congratulations to all shortlisted and commended authors! Very looking forward to the awards ceremony!

I remember when we learned about the Great Molasses Flood of 1919 in school. Local Massachusetts history.

‘the debate that raged in America over the protesters who chanted “from the river to the sea” disintegrated, for me, into farce. There is a single sovereign between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea and every checkpoint and road closure was a reminder of who it is.’
This article nails it.
I’m one of those Jews with ‘liberal Zionist parents whose kids took the social justice values seriously and emerged as anti-Zionists.’

Drove by the Enchanted Valley and actually saw a rainbow!
¡Manejamos por el Valle Encantado y de verdad miramos un arco iris!
Touched every time I see these memorials to the disappeared in Argentina. Never again means never again for anyone.
Me siento emocionado cada vez q veo los monumentos conmemorativos a los desaparecidos en Argentina. Nunca más significa nunca más por todos.
I’ve interviewed and presented on panels with both Chantell and Kooncha and can definitively say they are both absolutely fabulous!!!

Today I learned that the word ‘scrimmage’ is very American and generally is not used in Australia outside of ice hockey circles.
20+ years here and still learning the language 😂.
Happy trans day of visibility 🏳️⚧️!
Sending lots of love and affirmation to all trans people out there.
You are all fabulous and amazing being your authentic selves 💪!

At ACU they restructured Level C from 6 to 4 steps in one of the EAs. So Level B was 6 increments and C & D were 4.

Applied for D and E during the 4th year at each level, when I was at the top of the bands.
For all promotion rounds I was encouraged by colleagues and supervisors, male and female.
I’ve even written an article about this - but haven’t gotten it published yet.
