Breweries based in small towns keep Nova Scotia's craft beer industry growing during national decline
Although craft breweries are closing across Canada, Nova Scotia's industry remains in good shape thanks to a desire to support local.
New: Craft breweries have declined by 6.2% in Canada since 2024 and the recent closure of 2 Crows sparked conversations around Nova Scotia's industry.
However, Nova Scotia's breweries are bucking the national trend thanks to the desire to buy local.

Kinda amazing that Trump shits on Canada and Mexico every day, and there's the Mexican-American captain of Canada's Toronto Maple Leafs, Auston Matthews, standing behind him as he defiles an Olympic Gold Medal
He hates your mother and your fans Auston Matthews but - you do you: be a collaborator

It's Official: the Cybertruck is More Explosive than the Ford Pinto - FuelArc News
We now have a full year of data for the Cybertruck, and a strange preponderance of headlines about Cybertrucks exploding into flames, including several fatalities. Thatโs more than enough data to comp...
The Ford Pinto had a death rate of 85 people for 10 million cars sold. The Cybertruck hasn't sold 10 million, but the fatality rate so far maths out to 1,452 people killed per 10 million sold.
The Cybertruck may be the deadliest road car, for the occupants, ever sold.

โJust eight days before these Visitor Information Centre staff at the airport were unceremoniously laid off, they were visited by the Premier himself, who told them to keep up the good work.
We guess he meant to add: "... for one more week."
Is this the kind of respect our Premier has for the public service in Nova Scotia?โ

Mexico fights to dam "iron river" sending guns from U.S. to cartels
While many in the U.S. have lambasted the flow of migrants and drugs from Mexico, the porous border works both ways. Mexico's government says guns from the U.S. are fueling cartel violence.
Posting several links, this is madness:
"An estimated 200,000 to half million U.S. firearms are smuggled into Mexico every year ...
'We have confiscated, in the time that I've been in government, 50,000 guns of high power, of high caliber ... Fifty thousand guns. And 75% of them from the U.S."

The political effects of Xโs feed algorithm - Nature
Among users initially on a chronological feed, 7 weeks of exposure to Xโs algorithmic feed in 2023 shifted political attitudes and account-following behaviour in a more conservative direction compared...
Brainwashing, 2026 edition. This paper shows how X's algorithmic feed shifts people's views rightwards. It's a sophisticated, highly effective form of reorientation. And it is utterly chilling.
